Questions, answered.
Does it teach pickleball technique or drills?
No. This playbook does not teach technique, drills or how to run a lesson. That is what your pickleball coaching certification is for, and you still need it. If you are not certified yet, we recommend completing a recognised coaching course so you are qualified and confident on court.
The playbook covers the other half: the business side, and building a coaching career. How to find students, enrol them, price and package your coaching, keep them renewing, and handle the admin. Think of the two as partners. Your certification makes you a good coach. The playbook helps you build a career from it.
I am new, or I only coach part time. Is it too early for me?
No, this is the best time. It is far easier to choose your ideal student, set your packages and decide your prices properly at the start than to undo habits later. If you coach part time, the first chapter helps you work out what coaching would need to earn for it to take up more of your week, and the pricing chapter shows whether your numbers can get you there.

I already have students. Will I still get something from it?
Yes. Most experienced coaches have a schedule that swings between full and thin, students who drift away without explanation, and prices they set years ago. The playbook gives you a process for each of those: a sales process for new enquiries, a package structure that replaces single classes, and a renewal plan that starts well before a package ends.
Will this work where I live?
Yes. The principles are the same anywhere people pay for coaching: choose who you serve, package an outcome, follow a sales process, and plan renewals. The examples use dollars to keep the maths simple. You set your own prices for your market, and the pricing activities walk you through it.
Do I need DrillBase software to use it?
No. Everything in the playbook works with a notebook, a spreadsheet and your phone, and the playbook says so itself. One chapter shows how DrillBase handles scheduling, payments and programs if you want the admin taken off your plate, and there is a free trial if you are curious. Buying the playbook does not sign you up for anything.
How do I get it, and how long does it take?
It is a PDF. You pay once, download it straight away, and keep it. Read it on your phone, tablet or laptop, or print the master worksheet and write on it.
Most coaches read it over a weekend. The activities are where the real work happens, and most people spread those over 2 to 3 weeks alongside their coaching.
